Export culling results and sync back to Imagen

  • Updated

After culling, you can export the culling results and review the photos with the ratings in Adobe editing software. With RAW files, the ratings are in sidecar XMP files. With JPEG, TIFF, and DNG files, the XMP info with the ratings is embedded inside the file. After your review, you sync back your changes to Culling Studio and continue to edit your files in Imagen.

If you are reviewing culling in Lightroom CC, make sure that your Culling Studio preferences are set to stars or flags. Lightroom CC doesn't support color ratings.

  1. On the Projects page, find your culling project, and click Review culling.

  2. Click Export <# of photos> photo ratings to export ratings.

  3. Check that you're exporting the ratings you want, and click Export.

The metadata is exported to the folder or catalog where you uploaded the photos for culling.

  4. Click Open folder to see the files.
