Imagen has different AI tools for cropping photos, depending on the type of photography you use for your shoot. You choose the photography type when you create your Imagen project. 

Photography type and AI tools for cropping

If your photography type is Weddings, Events, Landscape/Nature, or Real estate, you can only use the Crop AI tool.

For all other photography types, you choose either Crop or Portrait Crop. You can’t choose both.

Crop

The Crop AI tool identifies the photo's main subject and then crops to a 2 x 3 aspect ratio. It correctly frames the subject and removes unnecessary background.

Portrait Crop

The Portrait Crop AI tool centers the main subject of each photo and then crops with a 4 x 5 aspect ratio. (Click Adjust to change the aspect ratio to 5 x 7.) It keeps optimal spacing above the head and other key details. We recommend using this crop for portrait and studio shoots as well as school and sports photography.
