Edit culled photos in batches

  • Updated

After you review your culling results, you can send selected photos to edit without closing your culling project. Here are a few scenarios when this is useful:

  • Editing a few photos first, like sneak peeks from an event, and coming back to the rest later
  • Editing some of your photos with a black-and-white profile and then the rest in color later

Send your first batch to edit

  1. After reviewing the culling results, select the photos you want to edit. Remember that you can go back to this project to finish the culling review or send more photos to edit.

  2. Click Edit [number] photos, and then click Next. The Create a new project screen opens.

  3. In the Project name box, enter a name that describes your photos, like “sneak peeks”. You can change it later, if needed.

  4. Choose an AI Profile for the photos.

  5. Click Edit. Your photos are uploaded to Imagen for editing. Continue to View your batches on the Projects page.

View your batches on the Projects page

When editing is complete, your batch appears as a nested project under your main culling project, and the nested project name appears below the main project name.

You review and upload final edits in nested projects the same way as any other editing project. You can also download the edits and deliver the final photos to your clients. You archive the main project, which also archives the nested projects.

Go back to your culling project

From the Projects page, click Back to project to open your main culling project again. From there, you can:

  • Change your culling results
  • Select more photos and send another batch to edit
  • Export your culling results

The main project opens in the studio, showing all the photos in the project. If you already sent a photo to edit, it has an Edited tag.

Send more batches to edit

You can keep creating nested projects in the main culling project. To send another batch, go back to the main project, select the photos you want, and send them to edit.

The charge is for each edit, even if the photo’s already edited

If you select a photo you already edited, you will be charged a second time for this edit, and your first edit will be overwritten.
