Best practices for an accurate Personal AI Profile

  • Updated

Creating a Personal AI Profile that matches your personal editing style is crucial for getting the best results from Imagen. This guide will help you select the right photos and prepare them to create your profile.

Before you start

  • Organize your Lightroom catalogs or folders with photos.
  • Choose projects edited in the same style.
  • Aim for at least 3,000 edited photos. The more edited photos you upload, the better.

Select the right photos

Do:

  • Upload edited photos only.
  • Use photos with a consistent editing style by using only one camera or creative profile for each Personal AI Profile. See Keep your settings consistent for more info.
  • Include diverse lighting conditions, such as daylight, indoors, artificial lights, summer, winter, and so on.

Don't:

  • Don’t upload unedited images.
  • Don’t rely solely on Imagen's Edited and Unedited filters.

Keep your settings consistent

Keep these settings consistent across at least 90% of your uploaded photos:

  • Tone curve
  • Color grading
  • Camera calibration

You can keep settings consistent by creating separate Personal AI Profiles for each camera or creative profile.

Tips for accuracy

  • Check your presets: If you apply presets, such as lens correction, when importing photos from your camera, double-check that your photos are fully edited before uploading.
  • Create multiple profiles: If you have several editing styles, create a separate Personal AI Profile for each. For example, if you have different presets or creative profiles that you use, create a separate Personal AI Profile for each.
  • Monitor constant parameters: While minor changes are fine, big changes in tone curve, color grading, or camera calibration might lead to inaccurate results.
  • Test your profile: If you changed the parameters listed in the section above, test your profile.
