Can I use Imagen with JPEGs?

Create Personal AI Profiles

If you shoot and edit JPEG photos, create a JPEG-based Personal AI Profile to fit your workflow.

For more info, see one of these guides:

Make sure that you create a Personal AI Profile with your original photos you shot in JPEG format with the edit metadata, not your final exported JPEGs.

Edit with AI Profiles from the Profile Showcase

We have ready-made JPEG profiles created by leading professionals and by Imagen. Browse the Profile Showcase, and filter the profiles to only see the JPEG ones.

Download and review JPEG edits

After editing, Imagen saves the edit metadata inside the JPEG photos. When you review your photos in Adobe editing software, the process changes slightly depending on the software you use.

For more info, see one of these guides:

Can I build a Personal AI Profile with my exported JPEG final edits?

No. When you export a JPEG, the adjustment data from your original photo isn't saved. If you open it in Lightroom, for example, it's treated as a new, unedited file, with all sliders set to zero. Imagen can't learn your editing style from these photos because the original adjustment data is gone.
